Our NHS client is urgently seeking an experienced Training Manager with significant NHS/EPR Training experience for a contract role at their site in South London.

The Training Manager will primarily be responsible for training and supporting the Cerner EPR (Electronic Patient Record) Programme.

Responsibilities of the Training Manager:

  • Work alongside clinical staff to assess educational/development needs in order to maintain a capable and effective workforce
  • Maintain training records locally and corporately (electronic staff records) as required
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of staff
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, appraisal and development of all staff within the ICT training team
  • Review and update the educational resources within the Trust e.g. availability of equipment to support e-learning drop-in sessions
  • Manage and advertise the available programme of ‘master’ classes and leadership drop-in sessions along with:
  1. Review and Update all BAU Training Materials
  2. Review and Update of present eLearning Materials
  3. Implement eCoach
  4. Align work with specific trust priorities, for e.g.
  • Elective Care Recovery Programme
  • ED Paperlite
  • eReferral System
  • eCoach
  • Plan Training Domain Refresh with Cerner

The Training Manager will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong acute hospital knowledge of delivering training essentials
  • Solid experience of delivering training EPR systems, ideally Cerner, in an acute setting
  • Deliver high quality end user training using a variety of media and environments
  • Provide coaching and support to users face-to-face
  • Communicate effectively with all staff at all levels across the Trust and staff from external organisations through the use of training techniques such as demonstrations, presentations and written course material
  • Present complex information clearly to both clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels within the organisation
  • Prepare and deliver presentations/demonstrations to promote staff engagement as requested
