Role: Technical Project Manager (Clinical Equipment Roll out Project)

Location: South London

Rate: Negotiable

Duration: 3 months (excellent chance of extension)

My client, a consultancy who specialise in services to the health and social care sector, are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager.

Responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager:

  • Manage all aspects of the deployment project including internal and external resources
  • Deployment of clinical equipment across hospitals
  • End of bed tables and AIO PC’s into Intensive Care Units
  • WOW’s, ISVM’s and cubicle wall mounted computers into Emergency Department
  • WOW’s, ISVM’s, computers and printers across Inpatient areas

In addition to the specific areas mentioned there is also a batch of desktop devices (PC’s, Praims, laptops) and a number of interactive whiteboards that are available to rollout across the Trust.

Skills and experience required for the Technical Project Manager role:

  • Five years’ experience of working as a Project manager or Prince, MSP, PMBOK or PPM qualified
  • Proven experience of three years delivering ICT Projects
  • Experience of delivering a similar project
  • Effective management of third party resources
  • Demonstrable experience of effectively managing multiple, robust stakeholder relationships, liaising between technical, business and senior management stakeholders and decision-makers
  • An eye for detail (design, process, organisation) and demonstrate a customer first approach
  • Strong organisational skills, with a structured, methodical and pragmatic way of working and managing projects.
  • Experience of documentation all project documentation including forecasting planning,
  • Demonstrable verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Personality - positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Effectively planning and resourcing all projects with all relevant tasks and resourcing updated weekly
  • Managing risk, issue, and action logs for the project, maintaining up to date project documentation
  • Carrying out project reporting and the presentation of project updates to clients and colleagues
  • Addressing any project issues with the appropriate parties as soon as they are identified
