This organisation seeks to bridge the gap between finance and technology, realising that all financial organisations will have to embrace technology as it unfolds in order to stay relevant in the modern world, and they seek to deliver solutions to the financial sector which helps them provide cutting edge technology to all of their customers across the globe.

Due to the continued success and growth of the business and a focused investment into technology, they are looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to join their team based in Glasgow.

The Role:  

You will work closely with the engineering teams to define and build and ecosystem of digital products across web, mobile and desktop. 

You will be required to engage with stakeholders across the business to define requirements, perform user research and create user stories, propose technical solutions to be created by the engineering team and manage the development process throughout the creation of these products. 

You will take the high level ideas from the business and work to flesh out the details in collaboration with the team whist managing priorities or the workload and ensuring that the larger product roadmap is on track. 

Ultimately, you will bridge the gap between the product stakeholders, the product strategy and the hands-on development team making sure that all needs and limitations are being communicated effectively.

Role Requirements:

In order to be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Product Manager with a background in hands-on software development and/or architecture. You will have experience in the following areas:

  • Requirement gathering, user research, project management, creating user stories and stakeholder management
  • Attending meetings with both internal and external stakeholders to gather ideas and requirements and then translating these into stories with the software developers can understand.
  • Working in an agile environment, ideally with experience in the use of sprint teams and/or as a Scrum Master
  • Leading or managing a team of software developers or engineers
  • Excellent communication skills with courage of conviction
  • Knowledge of User Experience is beneficial
  • Experience in the financial services sector would be advantageous but not essential.
