SceneOne’s Glasgow based client is a growing IT Consultancy that has successfully delivered industry-wide custom software, infrastructure, security and service management solutions across various business domains.  One of their more documented successes have come in the Utilities industry where they have gained widespread acclaim with the development of a pioneering SaaS platform and supporting infrastructure.  To complement their growth, they are looking to add an experienced Infrastructure Consultant to their team.

As one of the company’s senior infrastructure personnel, you will provide technical and infrastructure design, build and support assistance to clients, as well as providing support internally to the business.  You will guide and mentor less senior support staff, deal with suppliers and provide internal support.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions based on business requirements that are in line with architecture and best practice, using the latest Microsoft and cloud-based technologies.
  • Training staff and customers on network and information security procedures.
  • Taking a lead role in writing tender responses to win new client work.
  • Investigate and resolve support issues as necessary for mission critical business systems within agreed SLA's.
  • Server/ Application availability, performance and security monitoring; recommend and implement improvement enhancements.
  • Provide regular and accurate management reporting on IT Service performance and security.
  • Guide and mentor support staff.

  • Microsoft Cloud, Azure and Office 365 (IaaS + PaaS)
