SceneOne has an exciting opportunity to join an entrepreneurial and ground-breaking company leading the way in payment decisions and artificial intelligence. 

Our client provides Artificial Intelligence to enable corporate buyers to safely ensure they pay all their suppliers instantly.

Due to continued growth, my client has a requirement for Software Engineers to join their office in Glasgow.

The ideal candidate must have a background in a "start up" business as well as multiple programming languages experience.

If you like working in a fast paced, challenging environment and have a broad spectrum of Software development programming skills, this is a role for you.


The successful candidate will help with the ongoing development and maintenance of the business-critical infrastructure.

  • You will work with development team, building out the core platform
  • You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle, and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and improvements at each step
  • Contribute to the design and build of business-critical functionality
  • Work closely with the development team to share and rapidly iterate on ideas
  • Maintain high standards across the platform and product
  • Continuously find ways to improve the platform and technical approach


You will have:

  • Strong understanding of functional and reactive programming in Java and/or Python
  • Experience of multiple product releasing
  • Understanding of event-sourced and streaming architectures
  • AWS stack (particularly CloudFormation, Lambda, Kinesis)
  • Development against NoSQL/SQL Databases
  • Experience across the full stack
  • Strong coding standards and practices - clean code, testing, code reviews, version control (git)
  • Experience using Python data analysis, numerical and machine learning libraries (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn) would be beneficial
  • JavaScript experience would be useful
  • Experience integrating load testing tools
  • Any experience of Clojure and/or Lisp would be highly beneficial
