Due to the continued success and growth of the business, they are looking for Senior Sales Executive to join their team based in Central London.

The Role:

The Senior Sales Executive for Academic and Healthcare is primarily a new business sales role generating new business revenue. A critical sales role within the commercial team focused on generating new business from the existing portfolio, selling individual products as well as sophisticated combinations of products that blend together to create compelling offerings to satisfy customers’ needs in prioritised markets.

This is primarily an outbound commercial role based out of our London office but will involve active engagements at Group and Board level meetings with Key Stakeholders and Decision Makers within a defined territory.

The job holder must be a self-starter who will be responsible for maximising sales revenues specifically the development of new business pipeline for the portfolio.

A substantial amount of travelling will be involved in this role.

The key activities will be:

·         Personal delivery of sales revenue target for the portfolio, overseeing new business sales, up-selling of renewals for a specific territory. Work to develop a continuous pipeline of new accounts to ensuring the ambitious growth targets are reached.

·         Development and delivery of the sales strategy for a specific territory, focusing on revenue growth from new business.

·         Work closely with the Strategic, Key and Inside sales teams to identify possible upsell opportunities to maximise revenue from existing client base.

·         Accelerating the sales process: generate leads, price and manage the quote process, proposal development and successful go-live of products.

·         Develop new client relationships to understand a customer’s needs and sell high value, clinically led solutions

·         To develop compelling value-based business proposals that set out the offer and or solution that responds directly to the customer’s needs and to also consider the wider portfolio when developing integrated sales solutions.

·         To attend conferences, events and meetings to clearly present the portfolio and effectively respond to customer questions.


Role Requirements:

·         Educated to degree level with minimum 5+ years sales experience, within the European Healthcare Publishing sector

·         Focussed sales approach with strong domain knowledge of the changing challenges in both Academia and Healthcare

·         Highly developed strategic, communication and negotiation skills. Would comfortably network at senior ‘C’ level. Experience of setting up and managing regional or national level, relationships.

·         Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to confidently; present, persuade and influence large groups, prepare compelling proposals, and work on a 1:1 basis with customers

·         Conduct meticulous follow up using the company CRM on sales prospects

·         Proven track record of understanding Healthcare market and devising European-wide sales plans which have led to consistent and substantial business growth
