The Organisation:

SceneOne have been engaged by a dynamic and forward-thinking IT services and consultancy organisation who, due to exceptional growth, are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Consultant to be based from their new offices in the Central Belt of Scotland.

The Role: 

You will take a pivotal role in defining and delivering complex custom IT infrastructure projects to the highest standard, always with a key focus on adding value and building a strong relationship with the client.

You will be responsible for engaging with clients to gain a full understanding of the business’ needs and designing and delivering solutions which meet these needs. 

You will join an existing team of highly skilled individuals based remotely, and will have the opportunity to build a local team as you progress in the organisation. 

As you will be working closely with clients, flexibility for travel is required and you must hold a full UK driving licence and have your own car. 

You will also use your experience and knowledge to support and mentor junior members of the team as it grows around you.  

The Person:

You will have extensive hands-on technical experience in a large-scale project based environment, with knowledge of all Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, Skype for Business, System Centre etc.

You will have demonstrable experience of taking on the role of technical lead on a variety of IT infrastructure projects within a professional environment.

You will be passionate about adding value and be willing to put the customer first with honesty and integrity throughout the lifecycle of the project, and be able to build strong, effective relationships with stakeholders across all levels.

A good understanding of ITIL v3 frameworks would also be beneficial, with experience of implementing these in varying environments.  The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of specialist technologies such as storage and virtualisation, networking and IT security.

You will also be a confident communicator and will be comfortable with attending and sometimes leading client meetings.
