SceneOne has an exciting opportunity to join of a multi-national market leader in IT Consulting Services which has been named by LinkedIn as a ‘Top Attractor’ of the best talent in the UK market. 

Our client is developing its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) presence significantly in the UK. It has ambitions to bid for, win and execute a number of major UK Government ICT programmes. A key element of these programmes will involve the management of ICT operations in existing customer estates (including third-party services) and the introduction of a managed and delivered environment / ICT enterprise; including the design, transition and operations of new services.

Reporting into the Asset, Configuration & Change Lead, the Asset & Configuration Manager builds and maintains logical model, containing the components of the IT infrastructure (CIs) and their associations as a member of the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) team through a transitional phase of operation ensuring process integrity as it moves to the future mode of operation.

The Role:

  • Build on the Data Model during transition, bringing in CIs from Suppliers throughout transition
  • Maintain currency of the SIAM Data Model and CM Plan
  • Maintain information about Configuration Items required to deliver IT services
  • Support Suppliers to maintain the currency of the CMS
  • Monitor compliance to defined control processes
  • Conduct sample audits to ensure integrity of Supplier information
  • Review discrepancy reports and raise remedial actions as required
  • Responsible for compliance with the ISMS policy and procedures and understanding of security responsibilities and commitments
  • Responsible for compliance with the Quality Policy and procedures and understanding of quality responsibilities and commitments

You will be required to undergo Security Clearance, so all candidates must have the right to work in the UK with at least five years’ traceable work history in the UK.

Role Requirements:

  • Configuration Management Database (CMDB) design and implementation experience
  • Experience working with Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) processes and systems
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting electronic discovery and relationship mapping tool integrations with the CMDB
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communication
  • Confidence to work independently and within a fast-paced team in a busy environment
  • Excellent written communication through the use of email & formal reports
  • Strong customer facing communication skills essential

​Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience working in the Government sector would be beneficial
  • Technical project management leadership
  • Experience working within a SIAM delivery model
Other skills:
  • Must be knowledgeable in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations
  • Strong experience in the Problem Management process
  • A depth of experience in the BMC Remedy toolset is strongly desired
