SceneOne's client, a multi-national IT consultancy, are urgently seeking a talented individual for a Release Manager opportunity in Croydon, working on a high profile public sector project.

The successful release manager will facilitate and support the continuous delivery process from development to release in a quick, reliable and repeatable method.

Role responsibilities of the Release Manager:

  • Manage all aspects of the end to end release process
  • Ensuring change is catalogued
  • Publishing release information
  • Manage and improve release quality (continuous improvement)
  • Chair and manage planning sessions
  • Put in place metrics to measure improvement process
  • Manage release reporting
  • Release package testing to predefined acceptance criteria
  • Lead the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone reviews and Business Go/No-Go reviews

Skills & experience required for the Release Manager role:

  • Experience in Release Management
  • Experience working with tools such as; Jenkins and Git
  • Experience in Java
  • Experience in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
