Our client is a leading provider of technology enabled business services, working across the public and private sectors. Due to the continued success and growth of the business, they are seeking a Project Coordinator to support and report to the senior management team with respect to the various programmes and projects.

The Project Coordinator role:

  • Update and manage the overall cross portfolio plan consolidating input from individual projects and programmes
  • Complete and distribute regular cross portfolio reporting
  • Manage communications from the Project Manager mailboxes including regular reporting cycle requests
  • Provide support and guidance to project management delivery teams for reporting, adherence to the project management framework and processes to assure quality
  • Support the stage gate process used within the organisation by providing a support function to ensure relevant artefacts exist and are of sufficient quality to be presented at gates
  • Implement project governance standards across all portfolios and projects including tracking and monitoring the status of project and programme deliverables
  • Support the Project Manager to evolve the processes and templates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Stakeholder engagement to gather data and support governance and reporting
  • Performing Project Manager administration (including meeting preparation, co-ordination and minute-taking, action tracking), ensuring all documentation is version controlled

Skills and experience required for the Project Coordinator role:

  • Degree qualified or significant experience in a Project Coordinator role is desirable
  • Experience in recognised project management methodologies and practices, such as PRINCE2 processes
  • Experience in use of analytical tools
  • Track record of delivering Project and Programme status reporting/packs
  • Experience of project plan creation and maintenance in MS project
  • Understanding of change request processes
  • Advanced MS Office suite knowledge, including PowerPoint, Excel and MS project
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and attention to detail
