SceneOne has an exciting opportunity to join of a multi-national market leader in IT Consulting Services which has been named by LinkedIn as a ‘Top Attractor’ of the best talent in the UK market. 

Our client provides cutting edge science and technology solutions into crucial industries such as defense, intelligence and healthcare, and as such they have built strong teams across their various locations in the UK who are working hard to support vital missions and solve the world’s toughest problems.

Due to the continued success and growth of the business, they are looking for experienced C# .Net Developers to join their team based from their office in Glasgow.

The Role:  

You will join an existing agile team of passionate developers to continually optimise, improve and add functionality to solutions used globally within the commercial, defence and health spaces. 

You will be expected to:

  • Work in an agile environment
  • Work collaboratively with your teammates as well as external stakeholders
  • Be committed to quality
  • Be involved in the full SDL, including requirement gathering and design phases

You will be required to undergo BPSS Clearance, so all candidates must have the right to work in the UK with at least three years’ traceable work history in the UK.

Role Requirements:

In order to be successful in this role, you will be a skilled .Net Developer with over three years of commercial experience within an agile environment. 

The following skills are essential:

  • C#, .Net
  • ASP.Net, MVC
  • Windows Service and API development (WCF, WebAPI)
  • Relational and NoSQL Databases
  • Javascript technologies (AngularJS, Node.JS, ReactJS etc.)
  • .Net supporting open source frameworks (Spring.net, nHibernate, NUnit, Rhino Mocks, log4net etc.)
  • Web technologies (HTML, XHTML, XML, JSON)

The following skills and experience would also be advantageous but not essential:

  • Azure including application development with WebS Apps, API Apps, SQL Database
  • Exposure to Visual StudioTeam Services for application lifecycle management
  • Office 365 integration experience (Dynamics 365)
  • Front-end App State using Flux or Redux
  • Front-end testing tools e.g. Jest, Enzyme
  • Front-end tools e.g. Webpack, Babel, NPM
  • Micro-service based architecture

The Package:

A competitive basic salary of £30,000 - £38,000 per annum depending on experience, with extensive learning, development and progression opportunities and a generous benefits package.
