SceneOne has an exciting opportunity to join of a multi-national, award-winning in IT Consulting with an aggressive growth plan for the UK market in 2018/19. They service into both the private and public sector on crucial, cutting edge technology projects.


Due to the continued success and growth of their UK operations and the onboarding of new and exciting clients, they are now seeking someone who can create and deliver a technology vision with stakeholders across many diverse and disparate areas in a public-sector context. 


In addition, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and delivering Microsoft technology-based platforms large scale enterprise and public-sector level organisations. They will be highly technically proficient but also able to work with a range of business stakeholders.


You will be experienced and  have a proven-track record architecting and delivering Microsoft enterprise-level platforms. You will be responsible for co-ordinating and directing multiple project teams and will have direct experience of a range of Microsoft Tools and Platforms as detailed below. 


You will manage your own and relevant team performance accordingly to deliver high quality secure solutions to the customer in a timely manner.  


You must either have or be able to have or rapidly attain UK Government level security clearance and have a good understanding of Government Digital Service agile delivery approaches.  


Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Working with business representatives and other stakeholders to elicit requirement’s & evolve design specifications 
  • Enterprise and solution architecture design. 
  • Developing logical, conceptual or physical designs. 
  • Evaluating and recommending suitable candidate technologies and services. 
  • Designing & delivering a range of solutions using best of breed tooling and best practice 
  • Ensuring delivery and presenting prototypes and projects to prospective customers. 
  • Leading the technical team as appropriate and liaising with customer teams as part of a joint solution delivery.  
  • API integration and data architecture design. 
  • Responsibility for ensuring appropriate data and solution security design and implementation. 
  • Analysis of requirements and production of specifications. 
  • Documentation of solutions (e.g. architectures, configurations, and setup). 
  • Working within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a wider team.  
  • Interact with other key stakeholders/ end users in the software development lifecycle – PMs, BAs, testing etc 


  • Direct experience of solution shaping and architecture development including excellent documentation skills. 
  • Existing UK Government security clearance at SC level (or above), or the ability to attain this very rapidly 
  • Proven team lead & technical delivery expertise and experience in an enterprise scale context 
  • Microsoft Architecture certification. 
  • Hands on experience designing and delivering solutions using the following platforms. Microsoft .Net & API technologies, ASP.Net MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft integration technologies.   
  • Knowledge of Microsoft application and platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft SharePoint Server, Microsoft BizTalk Server, Microsoft SQL Server would be highly advantageous.  
  • Good working knowledge of Common Architectural Patterns to address application, data, availability and security needs.  
  • Experience with Microsoft and industry best practice design principles and approaches for a range of solution technologies to help guide and steer decisions. 
  • Architecture development tools and techniques such as UML 
  • Significant understanding of data and solution security design and implementation Recent experience with UI technologies such as JSON etc 
  • Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Experience particularly with agile based methodologies such as GDS.  
  • Experience working in a Dev/Ops development environment with tools such as VSTS, Bitbucket, Jira or similar etc 
  • Experience of motivating and managing team performance in delivering to agreed timelines and quality levels.
