SceneOne has an exciting opportunity to join of a multi-national market leader in Financial Services which has been named as a ‘Top Attractor’ of the best talent in the UK market. 

Due to the continued success and growth of the business and a focused investment into technology, they are looking for experienced Java Developers to join their team based from their global strategic office in Glasgow, working on crucial, cutting edge projects that impact the business globally.

The Role:  

You will join an agile team of passionate developers who work collaboratively in a Test Driven Development environment to deliver cutting-edge projects, working new products as well as adding new features to existing products used worldwide. 

You will be expected to:

  • Work in an agile environment
  • Work collaboratively with your teammates as well as external stakeholders
  • Deliver complex, enterprise level software projects
  • Be committed to quality
  • Be involved in the full SDLC
  • Mentor more junior members of the team

Role Requirements:

In order to be successful in this role, you will be a skilled Java Developer with over three years of commercial experience within an agile environment.  The following skills are essential:

  • 3+ years of commercial experience in core Java development (6/7/8)
  • Knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience in Test Driven Development (JUNIT, Mockito, H2/HSQL)

The following skills and experience would also be an advantage:

  • Spring/Hibernate framework

The Package:

A competitive basic salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience, with extensive learning, development and progression opportunities and a generous benefits package.
