Due to the continued success and growth of the business, they are looking for experienced Infrastructure DevOps Engineers to join their team based from their office in Glasgow.

The Role:

The Infrastructure DevOps Engineers will provide Infrastructure expertise and knowledge on some of the following: Microsoft Windows Server environments, virtualized environments, Microsoft stack technologies, networking technologies, Apple Mac / OS X and data storage technologies.  Ideally I am looking for specialists in any of the technical disciplines listed above.  I am also very interested in candidates that have “DevOps” experience, automation and infrastructure as code.

The work you will be involved with will be both project work and BAU support work. 


I am looking for someone with experience in cloud hosted and privately hosted environments. You will be self-motivated and be able to multitask in line with project plans and customer SLA’s. You must be comfortable speaking to customers and have very good written and oral communication skills.

Ideally, you will:

  • Experience in Linux and Java
  • Have excellent knowledge of Windows Server environments, from server 2003 – 2016, including OS
  • Experience of DevOps and continuous integration / continuous delivery approaches and tooling such as:
  • Ansible;
  • Jenkins;
  • Git/GitHub;
  • JIRA/Confluence;
  • Apple / OS X;
  • Cisco Meraki Routing, Switching firewalls and Wifi.

I am also very interested in talking to candidates who have the following:

  • Have excellent knowledge of virtualized environments such as VMware and Hyper-V
  • build, AD, DNS, DHCP and GP from design to implementation and support
  • Knowledge of networking technology including load balancing and firewalls
  • Knowledge of Microsoft stack technologies such as MS SQL, SCCM and SCOM
  • Understanding of of SAN storage technologies
  • Knowledge of Cloud hosting technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Possess excellent customer communication skills
  • Be experienced working within ITIL framework particularly around change control
