SceneOne's client, a multi-national IT consultancy, are seeking a talented individual for a Functional Tester role in Solihull, working as part of a team for a high profile public sector project.

Functional Tester role description:

  • Work on multiple Agile projects
  • Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated suites of tests through continuous integration for value added feedback
  • Work closely with software developers to create software artefacts including test plans, test cases, test procedures and test reports
  • UI testing – cucumber/Junit/Selenium web driver
  • Knowledge of Performance/Load Testing, Accessibility testing
  • Prepare regression, exploratory testing, ad-hoc and retest as required
  • Database & Migration Testing using Postgres, Procedural Languages (PLSQL, pgSQL)

Skills & requirements for the Functional Tester role:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to analyse complex problems.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and creative thinker with passion for quality.
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Security and performance testing, Experience in web testing and API testing
  • Experience of Continuous Integration
