SceneOne has an exciting opportunity to join a market leader client based in Coventry.

Due to the continued success and growth of the business, they are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team.

The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be at the beating heart of our platform - supporting, maintaining and improving their infrastructure and ensuring their applications are always available. Most importantly, your work will improve the experience that millions of people will have with businesses around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Production Operations Team to ensure that the platform is always available, performant and secure
  • Create infrastructure and environments to support the platform and applications using CloudFormation, Ansible and related technologies to ensure all our environments (staging, test and production) are controlled and consistent
  • Support, monitor, maintain and improve the infrastructure and the live running of the applications
  • Upgrade and patch the systems whilst maintaining service to end users
  • Track system and service performance to make sure they are meeting SLAs
  • Implement DevOps technologies and processes, e.g: containerisation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, metrics, monitoring, etc
  • Automate wherever sensible


Key Skills:


  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration in IaaS / PaaS / SaaS models
  • Deployment, maintenance and support of enterprise applications into AWS
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB/2, MongoDB, DynamoDB
  • Good understanding of CloudFormation
  • Solid understanding of cloud security models and best practices
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB/2, MongoDB, DynamoDB
  • Working knowledge, understanding and ability to write scripts using languages including Bash, Python and an ability to understand Java, JavaScript and PHP

  • Enterprise level project delivery
