Cloud Software Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer looking to progress their career within a truly innovative and rapidly growing organisation based in Bristol.  There are several exciting projects underway that will be both challenging and rewarding, providing the prospect of working with hardware and connected products (IoT).  

You will be working within a team who is passionate about cloud and back-end software engineering who are working on cutting edge technology projects within the Internet of things (IoT) space. 

You will employ the latest continuous delivery and DevOps practices to deliver first-of-kind connected apps and systems. 


  • Develop new features and expanding existing functionality using technologies such as C#, NodeJS and Python
  • Use a range of deployment automation and monitoring tools
  • Develop and refine code to deliver solutions from prototype to production
  • Use Paired Programming principles to collaborate within your team, providing more junior members with technical guidance
  • Advocate quality coding and participate in team code reviews
  • Remain up to date with the latest technologies and trends and bring new ideas to your team


To be successful in this role you will need to be an experienced Software Engineer with the following experience:


  • Developing solutions in C#
  • Cloud based systems such as AWS or Azure
  • Writing tests for your own code, including Unit Testing
  • Distributed version control systems
  • Passionate about learning new skills and technologies
  • Passionate about clean coding and quality control
  • Finding and solving bugs
  • Cross-platform environments including Windows, Linux and MacOS


  • Docker-based container management systems
  • Experience of NodeJS, Python or Java
  • Taking ideas from initial concept through to functional requirements and code
