Our client is a renowned science and technology solutions leader looking for an Automation & Monitoring Infrastructure Engineer to solve the world’s toughest multi-sector challenges. 


This Automation & Monitoring role will focus on providing Infrastructure expertise and knowledge on Cisco UCS Server Environments, Virtualized VMWare Environments, Microsoft Stack Technologies, Cisco Networking Technologies and NetApp Data Storage Technologies.

Ideally our client is looking for specialists that have knowledge and experience across the technical disciplines listed above.

Your passion and experience will help determine which managed service you will contribute to in order to add further value to our service offerings and become a technology specialist in this area. 


Our client is looking for someone with experience in Automation & Monitoring with an operational mind-set, who thrives on working in an active, fast-paced environment. Ideally from a managed services background with experience in cloud hosted and privately hosted environments. You will be self-motivated and able to multitask in line with project plans and customer SLA’s. You must also be comfortable speaking to customers and have very good written and verbal communication skills.

Desired skills:

  • Implemented management and infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Created management information/reporting/dashboards
  • Developed and shared expert understanding of options, systems and methods to improve the value of tools across the organisation
  • A proven background in Automation & Monitoring
  • Experience as a Linux/Sys admin
  • Have a strong understanding of core infrastructure technologies (servers esp. Linux Networks and Storage)
  • Operational support experience in Windows and/or Linux and VMware vSphere
  • Demonstrable experience in at least one of the following scripting languages:
    • VBS
    • PowerShell
    • Perl
    • Python
    • Ruby
  • Experience of Automation with Cisco UCS Director and VMware
  • Monitoring aggregation solutions
  • CMDB
  • A tenacious, problem-solving nature, someone who thrives on technical challenge
