SceneOne Limited was incorporated in April 2000. The aim of the company was to establish a reputation as a niche supplier that offered more than a recruitment supplier service. Our goal was to engage with clients in a Consultative manner and add real value as a committed supplier that really makes the effort to get close to our clients to better understand their requirements.
We started life by recruiting CRM professionals into permanent positions on mission critical projects in the consultancy and end user arena throughout Europe.
As we built our success in this area we found that our client base gradually became dependant upon us to assist with their closely related IT staff that were invloved in these projects.
So much so that by early 2001 we decided to launch a direct IT recruitment service to specific IT companies whilst following the same consultancy approach, as opposed to an agency approach (see right). In other words, our staff recognise the need to understand our clients' business in order to represent that particular client to the market at large and as a result, resource the correct candidates.
At this time the market conditions were particularly slow and with hindsight it may have been good for us and our clients that we came along at this time. It really helped us generate the correct types of client relationships – ones that could grow and develop with mutual trust and respect.
As the market started to recover we found ourselves being asked to help out with contract requirements from all our clients – old and new. So, in January 2002 we launched our own contracts division, in order to grow this side of the business.
In August 2002 we came full circle and our CRM clients asked us to provide a search and selection service and so our executive search division was launched and this service was rolled out to all our clients old and new. We soon found ourselves being engaged by clients in differing industry sectors such as Public Sector/Health and Financial Services.
In January 2003 we opened Scene One Ltd offices in Leeds. Later that year we opened offices in London which further developed our national coverage.
Staying true to our original intentions we are now a niche supplier in Health/DMICP and Public Sector, specialist supplier in Search & Selection and with a generalist IT team that complements our niche and specialist areas.
